Tragedy as woman in her 20s dies in hospital after police visit home on Meadow Croft near Longridge
The woman in her 20s sadly died in hospital.
A woman in her 20s has sadly died after becoming unwell after police visited her house.
The incident took place yesterday afternoon at a home on Meadow Croft near Longridge around noon.
A spokesperson for Lancashire did not disclose why they were at the address, but said: “Whilst our officers were in attendance at an address on Meadow Croft near Longridge yesterday, a woman in her 20s became unwell.
“She was taken to hospital, but sadly, despite the best efforts of the emergency services and medical professionals, she was pronounced deceased.
“The woman’s death is being treated as unexplained at this time.
“A mandatory referral to the Independent Office for Police Conduct (IOPC) has been made and it would be inappropriate to comment further at this time.”
