Tragedy as 23-year-old man found dead in Lancashire park
The tragic discovery was made by police earlier today.
A 23-year-old man has tragically been found dead in a Lancashire park.
Just before 10.30am today police were called to a report that a man had been found deceased in Williamson Park in Lancaster.
A spokesperson for the police said: “We asked for your help yesterday to find missing Henry Shields and we're afraid we have a very sad update to bring you.
“At just before 10:30am today we were called to report that a man had been found deceased in Williamson Park.
“While no formal identification has been made, we believe it to be the body of 23-year-old Henry. His family are aware and they are being supported.”
They added: “Our thoughts are with them at this time.Henry’s death is not being treated as suspicious, and a file will be prepared for HM Coroner.
“While this is obviously not the outcome anybody wanted, we would like to thank everyone who helped with our appeal for information.”
