Teenager injured after being hit by car in Preston

An 18-year-old woman was injured after she was hit by a car in Preston, say police.

Emergency services were called to Ribbleton Lane at around 8.45am following reports of a collision between a VW Passat and the woman.

Police say the woman was taken to Royal Preston Hospital with a suspected hip injury.

Drivers reported delays around the area.
