A spokesperson for Lancashire County Council said: “We are already using ANPR (Automatic Number Plate Recognition) cameras to enforce restrictions at four sites.

“We are now proposing to expand enforcement to a further four sites where there are ongoing issues with safety, congestion, and complaints due to drivers breaking the existing traffic restrictions.

“Make sure you have your say on the four proposed new sites for traffic enforcement cameras before the deadline on 27 July.”
