Man arrested at Preston railway station after woman is assaulted on train
The man was arrested at the station at around 7.15pm last night (October 23) after the train's crew reported an assault on-board its Glasgow to London service.
British Transport Police met the train as it pulled into Preston station and a man, aged 33 and from the Wirral, was detained by officers.

Hide AdOfficers said they were forced to draw a Taser during the arrest, "due to the man's aggression", but the firearm was not discharged.
A spokesman for BTP said: "Officers were called at 7.11pm on Wednesday, October 23 to Preston railway station following a report of an assault on board a Glasgow to London train.
"A man is reported to have attacked a woman and threatened a member of staff.
"The man, aged 33 and from Egremont, Wirral, was arrested on suspicion of violence against a person and anti-social behaviour.
"When in custody, he was further arrested for failing to appear at court and for breaching bail conditions.
"He has since been released on conditional bail until Tuesday, November 19."
