M6 alert over '˜wrong way' driver
Motorway police were alerted tonight after reports a motorcyclist was travelling the wrong way down the M6 in Lancashire.
Matrix warning signs were switched on alerting other motorists after a report of a biker on the hard shoulder close to junction 27 at Standish at around 5.30pm.
It was reported he was travelling north on the southbound carriageway.
Police said the matter was resolved and the biker was soon travelling in the right direction.
