Driver smashes into three parked cars on Bent Lane in Leyland
A driver crashed into three parked cars on a notorious ‘rat run’ road in Leyland.
Emergency services were called to the scene of the collision in Bent Lane at around 6.20pm on Friday (January 23).
It’s the second crash in the same spot in two weeks. A fortnight ago, another driver struck three parked cars on the same stretch of road, close to a children’s playground.

Residents have previously urged the authorities to take action before someone is seriously hurt, saying the road is often used as a ‘rat run’ and ‘race track’.
Concerns have been raised about speeding on the half-mile stretch of road, which runs between Church Road and Leyland Way/Turpin Green Lane, and serves as a route for those heading to the M6 round the corner.
No one was injured in Friday’s crash, with Lancashire Police describing the collision as ‘damage-only’.
The force said the crash involved a driver in a SEAT car and three parked cars belonging to residents. No action was taken against the driver.
