Several people have been taken to hospital following the four car collision in Lostock Hall.
The incident happened at the junction of Leyland Road and Coote Lane at around 3pm today.
Fire crews had to cut a woman from her car.
She, along with two men were taken by ambulance to the Royal Preston Hospital.
Police said the road remained closed at the scene this evening.
Lancashire Police said the North West Air Ambulance had not been called.
