Preston’s Moor Park is Rocking to the sound of some great live music this weekend.
The venue is staging Rockprest - the UK’s biggest free rock tribute festival.
Some of the biggest tribute acts in Europe are playing on two stages, over two days of crowd-surfing, chorus-chanting, festival fun.
There are bars, food stands, a market, a children’s area and thrill rides.
And organisers say it’s already been a big hit.
Acts that took to the stage yesterday included Mentallica, Guns or Roses and ACDC Experience.
Today, performances are coming from, among others, Supreme Queen, Flew Fighters and Speak & Spell.
Jools Taylor, of the festival, said: “It’s been a great success. We got a really good turnout yesterday, 6,000 came out and the weather held off.
“It’s been really well received.”
He said the feedback from the audience was good: “Brilliant, really good - a fantastic response.”
The first bands fired up at noon, with the last play at 10pm.
The free event calls for just a £2.90 booking fee.
