'This has not been an easy decision' - Lancashire karting bosses make shock announcement on their future

Euxton Karting is a 300m outdoor facility in Euxton Lane, Euxton, which has attracted adults and children from across the North West for parties and corporate events for years.

They have an 88 per cent recommendation rating on Facebook and scores of ‘excellent’ reviews, but in the early hours of this morning, bosses issued a surprise “important update” on their Facebook page.

“Very difficult decision”

It said: “We have made the very difficult decision to cease trading with immediate effect.

“This has not been an easy decision, and we are deeply sorry for the impact this will have on our staff, customers and everyone who has supported us. We are currently seeking professional advice to ensure the correct process is followed and that all matters are handled appropriately.

“We want to sincerely thank everyone who has supported us, worked with us, and believed in what we were trying to build. You have all left us with memories we will never forget. Further updates will be shared if and when appropriate. Thank you for your understanding.”

Customers have flocked to comment on the sad news, with many commenting that they were made to feel welcome at the track, with one stating their son was made to feel ‘like a proper bloke’.
