It's not all about the aesthetics though, at Marina View. Ben is clear that the care is equally as good, and points out home manager Jacquie Hamilton for embodying the special touch. He said: "The home manager has lived in the area for 30-odd years and has been in the industry for more than two decades. Lots of families already know her and it's well-noted that the care matches the surroundings." | submit
7. Finishing touches
The staff are also specialists, such as Diana, the entertainment lead who has worked in the showbiz world, and adds a touch of panache to activities. Recently, there's been a Christmas fair where there were 15 stalls selling crafts, and the event was opened up to the community. | submit
8. Private dining
A host of other Christmas activities have or are also taking place, including a Tina Turner tribute act, a Tom Jones tribute act, a Christmas party for families, residents and staff, and a traditional Christmas Eve and Christmas Day event, with Baileys, games and presents.
