Street light felled in crash
A driver had a lucky escape when a car smashed into a street lamp on the Bay Gateway near Lancaster.

The impact flattened the lighting column, leaving it lying across the carriageway.
Traffic was delayed in the area until workmen were able to move the lamp post from the road.
The car was badly damaged, but no-one was hurt.
