Step forward for a very Royal affair

Adlington 2016 carnival queen Heather Kirkham-Spear, carnival princess Ruby Charnock and carnival pageboy James Mckone, were delighted to present a cheque to our nominated charity for 2016, Derian House, for 4000

And the team will be stepping up the fundraising campaign in style with a ladies fashion show and pop up shop tomorrow.

A ‘Colours Fashion Show’ will take place at the Adlington Community Centre on Friday February 24, starting at 7.30pm.

There will be a host of high street fashions on display at huge discounts, including ranges from Marks and Spencers, Wallis, New Look, Oasis, Top Shop and Next

Tickets costing £5 and include a cup of coffee or tea. There will also be a charity raffle on the evening.

The Royalty selection will be held on Sunday March 5 at St Paul’s Church Club.

Those wishing to be considered can register from 1.30pm, with selection starting at 2pm.

The committee are seeking a carnival queen, aged 12 and over, a carnival princess from age eight to 11 years, rosebud and pageboy from age four to seven years.

All entrants must live within three miles of Adlington and fit the age criteria at the date of the festival on July 8 2017.
