Snow and wintry showers forecast this spring

And while the miserable weather continues in large parts of the country, how much longer do we have to wait until we see the sunshine?
According to forecast from the Met Office, brighter weather today will be followed by rain working its way from southern England into the north while a separate band of rain and hill snow will move south from northern Scotland.

Over the weekend the Met Office predicts showery rain will clear south-eastwards on, followed by showers, wintry over northern hills. On Sunday and into Monday the wet weather will give way to bright but cold conditions, leading to some night frosts.
There’s some better news for next week as an area of high pressure looks set to bring more settled and dry weather for most of the UK, although temperatures are expected to remain low and winds may pick up again.
So it seems we’ll be waiting a while longer for the joys of spring to fully reach most us.
