The wet and windy weather has also led to a landslip on the railway line between Chorley and Buckshaw Parkway.

It means all services calling at Chorley, Buckshaw Parkway, Adlington, Lostock, Horwich Parkway and Blackrod will be cancelled.

Bus replacement services will run from Preston to Bolton via Chorley until the landslip has been cleared.
