While some are truly heart-breaking involving serious neglect, others have found themselves in the amazing care of the RSPCA because their owners have died, become ill or are simply unable to care for them anymore.
Whatever their circumstances their stories all deserve happy endings.
Here you will find delightful dogs, cats, rabbits, hamsters amd mice, each with their own personality.
More information about the individual animals can be found on Blackpool and North Fylde RSPCA website including adoption fees and requirements.

13. Hugo - a tricolour hamster at RSPCA Blackpool
Hugo is a friendly hamster but would benefit from lots of handling in his new home. He will need a large secure set up with plenty of enrichment. | RSPCA Blackpool Photo: RSPCA Blackpool

14. Sasha and Skye - black cats at RSPCA Blackpool
Sasha and Skye were found abandoned in a dog crate on the side of the road along with eight kittens. They are both friendly girls with Sasha being the most inquisitive of the pair. Skye can be a little timid and shy to start with and takes a little time to warm up to new people but is growing in confidence. | Sasha and Skye were found abandoned in a dog crate on the side of the road along with eight kittens. 15. Topsy - a tabby cat at RSPCA Blackpool
Topsy is another cat looking for a good home at RSPCA Blackpool. Topsy is a very particular cat who is not overly cuddly but will show appreciation with head bumps, wrapping round your legs, occasionally licking you and greeting you with my tail in the air! | RSPCA Blackpool Photo: RSPCA Blackpool

16. Four mice sisters at RSPCA Blackpool
Female mice; Wynn, Sarah, Mary and Sabrina are looking for a new home after their owner was unable to care for them anymore. They are friendly and active mice who are very quick when being handled so they are not suitable for young children. It is essential that they are placed in large secure accommodation to avoid any escapes and that they have plenty of enrichment to keep them entertained. We would like the girls to be rehomed together. | RSPCA Blackpool Photo: RSPCA Blackpool
