An Adlington chip shop is in the spotlight, thanks to a certain two Gallagher brothers.

Rock band Oasis have teased a possible upcoming gig by filming a cryptic video in what appears to be a chippy in Adlington, Chorley.

The teaser video features a young ‘Liam’ and ‘Noel’ in a chip shop and drops lots of clues or ‘Easter Eggs’ about what fans think is a concert - widely suspected to be in Scotland.

In the clip the video of the song ‘Little by Little’, starring Scottish actor Robert Carlyle, plays in the background of The Little Chippy on Chorley Road in Adlington.

Comments on social media point to the filming and photographs starting on August 15, with sheets placed over the windows to keep the secrecy.

Little Chippy, Adlington, said on Facebook: “ Oasis have just released this teaser video on all of their platforms. Don’t know what city it’s teasing (I’m thinking Glasgow) but we do know where it was filmed .”

Chip shop regulars chimed in immediately, to congratulate chip shops owners on their moment of rock recognition.

Meanwhile, clues on offer in the video include a sign advertising a ‘Family Chippy Bundle’ which costs £55.84 while another sign reads “keep the fridge at -4’. There is also a daily special costing £2.05 which also says they ‘batter everything’.

Eagle-eyed sleuths have put this together as £55.84 -42.05 which are the coordinates for Glasgow’s Celtic Park while the batter is suspected to be a nod to Scottish battered foods. Scotland’s favourite drink Irn Bru can also be seen.

"Little by Little" was first released as the sixth track on Oasis’ fifth studio album, Heathen Chemistry.

There has been heavy speculation the band is about to announcing dates at Knebworth Park and Manchester's Etihad stadium. In an interview this week chief Noel Gallagher heavily hinted Oasis would have to announce 2027 dates because there's no football on this summer.

The Oasis reunion tour documentary Don't Look Back In Anger also takes place in London's Leicester Square on Monday.
