Roadferry site homes plans

Plans to build new homes on the former Roadferry site have resurfaced.

Peel Holdings Land and Property received outline permission in 2010 to build 60 houses on the same site.

The firm later changed its preferred access to the site from Carr Lane to Northgate.

That plan was turned down by the council’s committee over complaints from a number of residents who feared there would be traffic congestion in the area.

However, it was then approved by an independent planning inspector on appeal,

This latest Rowland Homes reserved matters application - an application for approval of reserved matters follows outline approval - also includes associated infrastructure, including appearance, landscaping, layout and scale. When all of the reserved matters have been approved, work may begin. The previous plans, after being, submitted were passed in May 2013.

Launched in 1993, Rowland Homes has its head office at Farington House, Stanifield Business Park, Stanifield Lane, Leyland. The developer builds news homes throughout the North West and North Wales. No one from Rowland Homes was available for comment.
