Rise & Shine Rainbow Run at Penwortham primary school raises vital funds for iPads
The event was supported by local businesses.
A Rise and Shine Rainbow Run at Cop Lane C of E Primary School in Penwortham has raised vital funds for equipment.
On May 19, children came to school from 8am for the annual sponsored event, running laps of the playground with rainbow ribbons, all dressed in brightly coloured clothes.
Once they had completed their sponsored run they received a medal and a breakfast, supplied by businesses including Tesco, Booths, and also charity Fareshare.
The sponsorship is still rolling in but it is hoped £1,000 will be raised towards an iPad fund.
