Crews from all over Lancashire will depart from the Comedy Carpet at 6pm on May 17, the International Day Against Homophobia, Transphobia and Biphobia.
The engine pull will raise money for LGBT charity Out in the Bay, the George House Trust, which provides services to people with HIV, and the Fire Fighters Charity, which supports the UK firefighting community.

“We want the event to be different and stand out and it’s quite a challenge to pull a 10-tonne vehicle seven miles.
“We’re walking with three crews of six people and we will change at mile intervals depending on people’s fitness and strength.” People can support the engine pull online at www.gofundme.com/lancashirefireenginepull.
