Preston's The Aviary celebrates 3 years of comedy with a 5-day fringe festival
A popular venue in Preston is celebrating its third year anniversary with a special comedy festival this summer and below is everything you need to know.
This June, The Aviary proudly presents The Aviary Comedy Fringe — a five-day celebration of live comedy marking three successful years of bringing top-tier stand-up to an intimate and much-loved venue.
Why are The Aviary hosting this event?
Since its launch, The Aviary has steadily built a name for itself, hosting an impressive lineup of talent including Britain’s Got Talent finalist Steve Royle, as well as Alex Mitchell, Mick Ferry, Smug Roberts, Freddy Quinne, Harry Stachini, and Louise Leigh.
Known for its close-up atmosphere and electric crowds, the Blackpool Road venue has become a favourite stop for both established names and rising stars alike says the people behind it.
After three strong years of building a reputation on the comedy circuit, the team behind The Aviary say they want to push things further in 2026 — both to celebrate how far the venue has come and to challenge themselves creatively.
The result is an expanded Fringe- style programme featuring five consecutive days of comedy, showcasing a range of solo shows from exciting performers.
What can we expect from The Aviary Comedy Fringe?
The Aviary Comedy Fringe will run across five days in June, featuring a diverse lineup of performers including top solo shows, Edinburgh Fringe previews and mixed bill nights.
With a mix of fresh voices and seasoned performers, organisers say the The Aviary Comedy Fringe “promises to deliver a week of unforgettable live comedy in a setting that has quickly become synonymous with quality and atmosphere.”
Alongside the Fringe programme, The Aviary’s flagship comedy night will also take place on Thursday, June 25 continuing its regular slot as a cornerstone of the venue’s weeklyentertainment.
Tickets and further details will be announced soon.
