A popular Preston pub is set to reopen after undergoing a £20,000 refurb.

Princess Anne, located along Cambridge Walk, off Aqueduct Street, will make a grand return on Friday, June 5, with a guest by popular local singer Mark Melling who will be entertaining guests with a range of hits from the 80s/90s.

The owners of the pub who took over in 2024 said that in keeping with the ever changing trends and customer feedback, that they decided it was time for a refurbishment and closed for eight weeks.

It now boasts an upgraded TV system, a smoking shelter and a new cask system, while still serving refreshments such as mocktails, cocktails, a wide range of beers and spirits to suit everyone’s tastebuds.
They noted that the temporary closure allowed them to “get it right” and fix issues such as problems with TVs and outdoor lighting.
Serving up beers from small Lancashire breweries, the watering hole dates back to 1864 and is a popular choice for fans on Preston North End matchdays and hosts live music performances and karaoke nights.
