As the rest of the country was glued to the "quacking" semi-final, Lisa Mault's home was invaded by a mother duck and her baby ducklings.

But unlike the football on the telly, it seems there was no "fowl" play involved.

Lisa explained that she went into her dining room at half time to find the feathered cuties taking refuge in her home.

She said: "The mother duck had had some ducklings a little while ago but unfortunately she lost them all to magpies and other animals.

"So I was really please to see she'd had some more babies.

"I was just watching the game and went into the dining room when I saw the duck just sitting there with her babies huddled around.

"It was so cute. Me and my dog just looked at each other. She didn't seem concerned, she just got up and waddled out."

At least the waddling exit, wasn't as painful as another "Waddle-ers" penalty miss at the 1990 World Cup.
