Police search for five men after teenager stabbed and robbed at party

Police are appealing for witnesses after a 16-year-old boy stabbed at a party in Leyland.

The teenager was taken to hospital with injuries to his face and leg and was also robbed at the party of around 30 people at an address on Sycamore Gardens.

Officers were called to the address at around 10.30pm on January 22 following reports of an assault.

A 16-year-old boy was found near the scene with injuries to his face and stab wounds to his leg.

Police believe he was attacked by up to five men in the rear garden of the property.

The group had removed his wallet and took £10 before the teenager was stabbed in the leg with a knife.

The men left the property and the 16-year-old was taken to Royal Preston Hospital for treatment.

Detectives believe between 20 and 30 people were at the party and are keen to speak to anyone who saw the incident.

Det Con Karen Harrison, of Skelmersdale CID, said: “This was a vicious attack on a teenage boy which left him with nasty injuries to his face and leg.

“We believe up to 30 people attended the party and someone must know who carried out this assault.

“I would ask anyone reading this appeal to do the right thing and come forwards, naming the individuals responsible.

“We are also keen to trace a woman who stopped to help and give first aid to the teenager near to Morrisons in Leyland.

“All information reported will be treated in the strictest confidence.”
