Police 'extremely concerned' after 15-year-old goes missing on her way to school

Concern is growing for a 15-year-old girl who went missing on her way to school in Blackburn yesterday (Monday, November 2).

Police say they are 'extremely concerned' for Ellie Paul, who was last seen in the Darwen area at around 8.30am yesterday.

The Blackburn schoolgirl is thought to have travelled towards the Fishmoor area of the town at around midday, but she has not been seen or heard from since.

She is described as white, around 5ft 6ins tall, of slim build and with long, blonde hair.

She was last seen wearing her school uniform of black skirt, tights and black jumper and carrying a large, black handbag.

PC Molly Bury, of Blackburn Police, said: "We are extremely concerned about Ellie and would ask anybody who has seen her, or has information about where she may be, to get in touch with us as soon as possible.

"Similarly we would urge Ellie herself, if she sees this appeal, to let us know she is okay."
