Sean Maguire sees a close-range effort cleared off the line

Here are the PNE player ratings from the game, substitute Alan Browne and right-back Darnell Fisher the pick of the bunch. Agree or disagree?

Made a low save to his left early in the game from Wilks. Hard to see why the finger was pointed at him for the Hull goal.
Strong display from the right-back. Did well going forward with the cross for Maguires chance and to earn the penalty.

Him and Hughes should have dealt with Wilks for the goal. Otherwise solid enough on a day when Hull had few clear-cut chances.
Put in a good block to take a shot from Wilks behind in the first 20 minutes. Steady as you go as the game went on.
Better second half and started to offer more of a threat down the left as North End looked for goals.
Busy as usual in the middle of the park, used the ball quite well and put a shot wide in the second half.
Passing was a bit off kilter in the first half but got better in the second period and struck his penalty very well.
Forced the keeper into a first-half save with a header. Started on the right-wing and then moved into the middle.
Got his first start since the Swansea game and played as the No.10. Didnt particularly get into the game as much as he would have liked.
Very much on the fringes of the game and didnt get enough of the ball to be an influence. Still finding his match legs.
Put a first-half header just wide, set up a chance for Barkhuizen and should have scored after the break. Worked hard, needs a goal.
Excellent cross for the winning goal and worked hard up front. Helped change the direction of the game.
Gave the side lots more energy when he came on and scored a fine headed winner. Back to what we have got used to from the midfielder.
An89th minute sub as PNE looked to see the game out. Made a couple of good clearances.
