Students at UCLan are waiting for further guidance on when they can return to campus following the latest Government announcements on the lifting of lockdown restrictions.

Vice-Chancellor Professor Graham Baldwin said: “We welcome the Government’s roadmap announcement for those students on practice-based and creative subjects who need access to specialist equipment and facilities to be able to return to campus from 8th March.

“We are now working through the detail of which courses this applies to so that we can share as much information as possible with our students.”

He continued: “For all students returning in March, we continue to operate our campuses, adhering to Government Covid guidelines including lateral-flow testing, the wearing of masks and social distancing. After the Easter holidays we are expecting a further update from the Government regarding students studying on all other programmes and when their expected date of return will be.”

He said the focus remained to give students whether taught on campus or online, or both: "everything they need so that they are still able to meet their learning outcomes in the timeframes that they expect."
