With the ongoing cost of living crisis, many pet owners are resorting to placing their furry companions in the RSPCA’s care, as they can sadly no longer afford to look after them.
Here are all the gorgeous furry friends currently being cared for at the RSPCA Preston branch that have not found their perfect family – could it be you?
Take a look at the latest adorable bunch including Roxy and Jaffa.

1. Jolene
Jolene is a five-year-old female Tabby domestic shorthair. Most of the time you will just see her snoozing away in her bed, but she enjoys being approached and spoken to and loves a good fuss even with new people. She would need to be the only pet in the household but she could live with children over 10 years of age. Photo: RSPCA Preston

2. Steve
Meet four-year-old black domestic shorthair Steve who is a super affectionate (some may say clingy!) cat. Once he gets to know you, he loves human attention and will follow you round like a shadow! Steve doesn’t like to be restrained but you can pick him up, and he will let you fuss him all day long. So far Steve seems to prefer his main human to be female, but if there is a spare male human in the house then that’s okay! He would like a relaxed home environment where someone is around a lot of the time. He needs to be the only pet in the home, and any children need to be over the age of 14. Photo: RSPCA Preston

3. Jaffa
Meet Jaffa - a handsome seven-year-old white and ginger boy. He has started accepting strokes and chin tickles, even to the point where he has started leaning into your hands, making biscuits and even getting up to get more comfortable for more fuss, with lots and lots of purrs! He is best suited as an only pet in the home whist his confidence builds and cat- savvy children aged 14+. Photo: RSPCA Preston

4. Fizz
Fizz is a beautiful one-year-old black and white domestic shorthair. She can be shy when meeting new people for the first time but after a couple of minutes of sussing you out she will start to roll and slide about on her back purring and wanting fuss. She is an inquisitive little furball that likes to explore the cattery to find the best place to sprawl out and stretch. She could live with children of a secondary school age. Photo: RSPCA Preston
