Research by sleep experts at SleepSeeker has revealed that Preston is dreaming the most about snakes.
The research revealed the most common types of dreams and their meanings in Preston and around the UK, by looking at Google searches in every OECD UK city over the last year to find out how the world dreams.

Hide AdSnakes were the most searched dream topic in 47 cities with over 169,760 clicks.
Ophidiophobia is an extreme, overwhelming fear of snakes. The condition is called a specific phobia (fear), which is a type of anxiety disorder. Ophidiophobia may be associated with herpetophobia, which is fear of all reptiles. Many people are somewhat fearful of snakes.
Whether it is a phobia, a premonitory dream or an embodiment of toxicity in your life, it can represent the shedding of skin aka a rebirth, moving on or can symbolise a challenge or situation that could be frustrating you, so watch out for them.
The second most dreamt topic is dogs and the third is being chased. And with over 1,000 annual Google searches, lucid dreams seem to be trending in the city.

The average person spends around a third of their life sleeping, and dreaming can help preserve memories, aid emotional regulation and process difficult feelings.
The least common dream of the research is taking an exam, the different meanings can be low self-esteem/self-confidence, a new phase in your life and your uncertainty over whether you’ll pass or fail or a decision that needs to be made about you rather than by you.
The 10 most common dreams google searched in the UK are:
Snakes.
Pregnancy.
Cats.
Dogs.
Being chased.
Flying.
Cheating.
Hair falling out.
Falling.
Crashing a car.
As much as 95 percent of all dreams are quickly forgotten shortly after waking.
