Preston Police find fireworks stash in park after complaints from residents

Residents in the area around Plungington Road in Fulwood say the sound of the devices going off has terrified their pets, while others fear someone could get hurt.

Now officers have responded and managed to unearth a supply of them in a park used by youths.

A spokesman for Preston Police said: "We have found a stash of fireworks on the Brook Street park. Seized and now off the streets but we're still looking."

Residents have called for a crackdown on illegal sales of fireworks.
