Police called after lamb is found dead in broad daylight
A young lamb has died in Chorley this afternoon after dogs were reported on the loose.
The dead animal was found near to White Coppice cricket pitch in Chorley at around 2pm.
One onlooker said that another sheep had been found dead nearby with its throat "ripped out". They also said other dead sheep have been found elsewhere.
A second onlooker mentioned that it looks like a dog may be on the loose.
Police reportedly attended the scene.
