Working Guide Dogs Alfie from Thornton, and Noah from Penwortham, got stuck into a selection of treats at Wyre Estuary Country Park to raise awareness of Guide Dogs UK’s Virtual Tea Party, to be held on Wednesday, April 21.

Between 3-4pm, the charity wants people to upload pictures of themselves (and their dogs) to social media, showing them enjoying a tea party.

The aim is to raise awareness and funds for Guide Dogs.

Sue Orme, a volunteer fundraising co-ordinator for the Preston area, said: "Last year when we did this, we got 4,010 posts, so this year we want to beat that number.

"It's all about raising money and awareness for Guide Dogs, as we have been hit terribly by the pandemic, as a lot of charities have."
