My 3 best things to do in and around Preston next week as Christmas officially arrives
Senior reporter Aimee Seddon with her entertainment guide to three best things to do next week in and around Preston.
Preston

First in Preston, there are two film screenings of the beloved Wallace and Gromit film A Grand Day out at The Harris on Saturday, December 27.
Taking place in The Studio, the first showing is at 11am, the second at 2pm.
The event is free but it had to be booked and unfortunately all the spaces have now gone.
The screening is however a nudge to catch the Wallace and Gromit exhibition at the Harris before it ends on January 4 so do head to that if you haven't already!
Chorley

Second, in Chorley, Carols by Candlelight is on at Hoghton Tower on Monday, December 22.
Join Outreach Opera for a beautiful candlelit evening of popular opera arias and duets, along with an array of magical Christmas carols.
Let them take you on a journey through opera's favourite composers, whilst inviting you to join them in singing along to carols, all in the stunning candlelight setting of Hoghton Tower's banqueting hall.
All the tickets have sadly now sold out.

Finally, again in Chorley, the Houghton Weavers perform two shows at the Chorley Theatre on Sunday, December 28.
Jim Berry, Steve Millington and their world class guest musicians promise plenty of laughter as they perform a warming mix of festive tunes, old favourites, new songs penned by the boys, original poems and audience requests.
Tickets are £15.
