'Longridge you did us so proud'- 15 fun-filled pics from Longridge Field Day 2026

Take a look at the fun-filled scenes from Londridge Field Day 2026 over the weekend.

Last Saturday, the annual Longridge Field Day was held in the Lancashire town.

Running between 10:30am and 4:30pm, the free event saw houses and businesses get all dressed up for the occasion, whilst the day started with a parade, featuring Morris dancers, classic vehicales and local organisations.

After a Field Day Princess was crowned, there was then a fancy dress competition, various performances, a football tournament and a raffle, plus a fun fair was open between 12-8pm.

One of the organisers told the Post: “This is a tradition that dates back to the 1950's to celebrate the beginning of summer. The weather was kind and the community spirit was high. We were all absolutely blown away by the unbelieveable amount of effort that everyone had put into their costumes, floats, displays & performances! What a fabulous day was had all round, and the feedback we have received has been wonderful.

“We really would like to thank everyone:

  • Our fabulous commitee who work hard all year round to put on a great day.
  • All the local businesses for their generosity & donations of prizes and help.
  • All of the judges for their time and for making some tricky decisions!
  • All the teachers, group leaders, volunteers & parents for putting so much effort into their costumes, floats & displays.
  • The stall holders for their continued support year after year.
  • Longridge Band, Kings Dance Academy, Sutcliffes School of Dance, Longridge Gymnastics Club & Isles of Harmony for their fabulous performances on the field.
  • Longridge Town Football Club for organising the football tournament.
  • All of the children, for turning up and joining in.
  • And finally, to each & every person who came out to watch the parade, showed their support & who made a donation.

“Field Day really couldn't happen without each and every one of you!

“All proceeds made go straight back into making next year's Field Day even bigger and better. Longridge you did us so proud!”

The organisers also sent us a selection of great photos from the day so take a look at them next...
