Leyland Playscheme reopens after two-year Covid closure

Leyland Playscheme reopened yesterday after a two-year Covid closure.

Parents, children and volunteers were treated to bouncy castles, ball games, plate spinning and lots of other fun-filled activities throughout the day.

Co-ordinator Emma Cowan, 38, who has worked for the playscheme for over 24 years, starting out as a volunteer, said: “It was a really lovely day – absolutely like we had never been away.

"We were quite apprehensive but yesterday just felt right.

"We plan to keep going now.”
