Lancaster woman to face trial over protest outside Deputy Prime Minister’s home

A trial date has been set for two women charged in connection with a pro-Palestinian protest that saw "body bags" left outside the home of Deputy Prime Minister David Lammy.

Cristy North and Susan Houseman are accused of placing the bags in front of the then-foreign secretary's house in Haringey, north London, on April 8 last year.

North, 38, of Castle Marina Road, Nottingham, and Houseman, 55, of Hornby Road in Caton, Lancashire, previously pleaded not guilty to harassing Lammy.

They also denied displaying a threatening or abusive sign or writing likely to cause harassment, alarm and distress, according to court documents, reports the BBC.
