'I can't wait'- Joel Corry issues message to Prestonians ahead of Preston Weekender
With Preston Weekender just a few weeks away, lead headliner Joel Corry has shared a message with Prestonians.
The Preston Weekender will return to the historic Flag Market on Saturday, May 2, and Sunday, May 3 this year.
On the Saturday, iconic dance brand Cream will take over the Flag Market in Preston with a full production show co-headlined by Paul Oakenfold and Joel Corry.
The line-up will also feature Cream resident Kola plus local support.
With just a month to go until the big day, hitmaker Joel Corry, who can boast over 5.5 billion streams and 11 million singles sold world wide, took to social media to share a message to the people of Preston.

In a video shared with Preston BID, Joel said: "Hey, it's Joel Corry. Saturday the 2nd of May, I'm playing at Cream in Preston for the Preston Weekender and it's bank holiday, so it's going to be a banger.
“There's a couple of hundred tickets left, so make sure you get them before they're gone.
“You can get them at theprestonweekender.com and also the legend Paul Oakenfold is going to be there.
“So, it's going to be a great party. I can't wait. I'll see you guys on the 2nd of May. "
Sharing the video to their own feed however, Preston BID admitted there are not quite as many tickets left now.
In the caption, a spokesperson wrote: “Big thanks to the JC for sending us this… it’s just that it landed last week and we forgot to post it (soz)! 🙄
“We can tell you this for free… there definitely aren’t a couple of hundred tickets left now. ❌
“But, there’s probably enough to see the next week out… you know what to do, if you want one of them to be yours, so you can join 2,500 of your besties at The Preston Weekender….”
As well as the Saturday event, Sunday will see the Britain’s Got Talent Winner, Harry Moulding, headline the Preston Weekender Family Fest, bringing his incredible illusions and mind-blowing magic to the popular festival.
Sunday’s event, which is free for families this year, will be hosted by Preston’s Sam Henly and also see a performance from ABBA tribute act Björn Again.
Mark Whittle from Preston BID, co-organisers of the event alongside Preston City Council, said: “The 2025 Weekender was something else. Seeing Preston come together to celebrate on such a scale, was special.
“This year, we’re upping the ante, and are on a mission to welcome even more people to the event and our great city, to see what we’re all about, and to enjoy our legendary hospitality”.
Councillor Anna Hindle, Cabinet Member for Culture and Arts at Preston City Council, said: “Preston has a long-standing reputation for bringing people together through music, and we are absolutely thrilled to welcome Cream’s iconic brand and world-class artists like Paul Oakenfold and Joel Corry.
“Events like Preston Weekender not only showcase our city as a vibrant destination for entertainment but also provides a welcome boost to local businesses. We look forward to seeing the atmosphere this event creates and the positive impact it will have across our community.”
