On Tuesday, October 13, the famous 'hot potato tram' will park in its usual spot on Preston's flag market to remember 'spudman' Keith Roberts.

Old customers and friends are encouraged to visit the market at 10:50am on October 13 to pay their respects to Preston's famous potato man, who sadly passed away last month.

The 43-year-old, who was well-known for selling his famously tasty baked potatoes and parched peas from his cart in the Flag Market, died on September 29 after he lost his fight to cancer.

In an outpour of love on the tram's Facebook page, locals noted how much Keith would be missed, commenting that he was 'one of the best' and 'a wonderful gentleman missed by many'.

Mr Roberts was a friendly and familiar face in the city and drew many loyal customers for his famous spuds and traditional Lancashire parched peas from his Guild Tram next to the Harris Museum.
