Sarah Burns, Jacky Burns' daughter, said: "On September 14 at 12.20pm our darling mum took her final breath and went to sleep with the angels.

"Our mum Jacky Burns was a pillar of our local community in Morecambe she was fondly known by many as ‘Mrs Pebbleart’.

"She created a community of people who shared her love of spreading happiness through the smallest act of kindness. This wasn’t just a local thing as many groups were set up around the country and even around the world!

"One little lady who never did anything by halves managed to bring a nation together. Alongside a team of people she acquired she orchestrated memorials for Shine for Sian, Team Reece and many other causes close to our community hearts.

"If you knew my Mum you know she lived her life day by day to the full, this included her money, she would always say ‘ah we’ll find a way’ for anything. #

"She was just 58 when she passed away and I know for a fact she wasn’t ready or expecting to go.

"In four short weeks she went from organising pebbleart ‘snakes’ to leaving this world and us behind.

"Because of this as a family we have been left at extremely short notice to fund the costs in organising a funeral and a send off she deserves.

"That being said, we humbly ask that if you would have sent flowers or wanted to give a donation in my mums name that instead you could help towards these costs.

"As you’ll appreciate I have never had to pay for a funeral so the target set is an estimate and I will keep all receipts for validation.

"In different circumstances the church would be packed to the rafters but with the pandemic and Covid-19 and a very minimum amount of people allowed we are unfortunately very restricted.

"On the off chance that we exceed the amount need or it doesn’t cost the amount we’ve raised we would love to donate any remaining money to the Royal Lancaster Infirmary ICU unit who went above and beyond for our mum in her final weeks."

"Thank you all from the bottom of our hearts."
