Cost of living crisis: inside look at former Lostock Hall food bank as it relaunches as New Day Church Food Hub
A Lostock Hall food hub has opened to help more people survive the cost of living crisis.
New Day Church Food Hub in Ward Street is a former food bank, which delivered 5,352 bags of essentials during the pandemic.
The team is now running it as a community shop for greater sustainability after losing numerous volunteers. Residents with a PR5 5 postcode can buy £15 worth of food for just £2.50. A referral is required.
