Coronation Street stars swapped the cobbles for the golf course earlier this month as they hosted their annual charity golf day, raising vital funds for Derian House Children's Hospice, in Chorley.
Soap stars Alan Halsall, Andy Whyment and Sam Aston were joined by friends, supporters and businesses at Delta Hotels by Marriott Worsley Park Country Club in Manchester on Friday, July, 10 for a sun-soaked day of golf, fundraising and plenty of laughs.
The Corrie trio had guests in stitches after swapping their golf gear for Village People-inspired fancy dress and filming a tongue-in-cheek performance of YMCA, with fellow golfers joining in.
The fun continued into the evening as guests enjoyed a gala dinner packed with fundraising, auctions and prizes, with supporters digging deep for Derian House.
The final fundraising total will be announced in the coming days, with every pound raised helping the hospice continue providing care and support to 400 babies, children and young people, and their families, across the North West.
Andy Whyment, who plays Kirk Sutherland in Coronation Street, said: “It was a beautiful day for raising funds for an incredible charity, while having an absolute blast.”
Sam Aston, who plays Chesney Brown in the ITV soap, said: “It was a brilliant night and we felt honoured to be supporting such a worthy charity.”
