The display, opposite Chorley Town Hall, forms part of the Chorley and District in World War Two commemorations.
The temporary display will be replaced on Sunday, June 28 with one to acknowledge HMS Ursula - the Chorley and District submarine.
Organisers have thanked Chorley Council for supporting the project, saying that despite the coronavirus lockdown, the borough of Chorley can be seen to be acknowledging the 75th anniversaries of VE Day and VJ Day.
