Aldi: Staff needed for new supermarket in Tarleton

A new Aldi store set to open its doors in Tarleton later this month needs staff.

The new store on Liverpool Road will open on Thursday, July 21, at 8am, and is on the lookout for store assistants.

Team GB medallist Anyika Onuora will be on hand to cut the ribbon and will be giving away complimentary bags of fresh fruit and vegetables from Aldi’s famous Super 6 range to the first 30 customers.

The new store will offer fresh food, a ‘Specially Selected’ range, exclusive beers, wines and spirits, and a ‘Food to Go’ section at the front of the store.

Special Buys will also be available in everyone’s favourite middle aisle every Thursday and Sunday.

The store will be run by manager Tony Breen, along with a team of 35 colleagues from the local community.

Tony said: “We can’t wait to open the doors to the new store in Tarleton. It’s set to be a special day and having Olympic hero Anyika Onuora join us will make it a morning to remember.”

Track and field star Anyika Onuora added: “I’m so excited to be opening Aldi’s new store; it will be great to chat to customers and a lovely way for me to thank Aldi for its support of Team GB.”

The store is calling on local charities and food banks to register with Neighbourly, a community engagement platform that links businesses to charitable organisations in the local community who will then be able to collect surplus food and perishable products all week. The store will be open: Monday - Saturday: 8am-10pm and Sunday 10am-4pm.
