The charming Chef & Brewer pub on Moss Lane has an enviable canal side location and the refurbishment works make the most of its setting and character while ensuring customers enjoy a traditional pub experience with plenty of modern-day comforts. It’s a perfect place to enjoy a meal or drink by the cosy fireside on chilly days and nights or take in the waterside setting throughout the warmer months.
There have been improvements both inside and out including an enhanced bar area with stylish new décor, plus works to the garden with additional new furniture, new lighting and upgraded signage, creating the ultimate spot to enjoy an alfresco meal or drink.
There is something for everyone at the Malthouse Farm, with quality food and drinks menus to cater for all tastes and appetites and Sunday roasts a sure-fire winner with diners.
The Malthouse Farm team were pleased to welcome local resident Edwin Schofield, who originally owned the Malthouse Farm prior to it becoming a pub, to cut the ribbon at the official opening (9 March). A donation was also given to the Church Lads & Girls Brigade, a youth organisation based at St Peter’s Church in Chorley, as part of the pub’s efforts to support local community initiatives.
Sharon Young, general manager at the Malthouse Farm, said: “The Malthouse Farm has so much character and we’re delighted to have customers back in to enjoy all we have to offer. Over the 12 years I have been here, I have seen just how much this pub is loved by the community – it is more than bricks and mortar, this is a pub with people at its heart. We are here for customers who want to come in and unwind, pop in for a coffee or drink while walking the dog or relax over more leisurely meals and celebrations. Come in and see our new look today!”
