Patrols stepped up for bearded flasher

Police have stepped up patrols in an area where a man exposed himself to two teenage girls.

Officers say the suspect, aged around 60 with an unkempt grey beard and large round glasses, approached the girls aged 16 and 17 in Greenwood, Clayton Green at around 7.15pm on Tuesday.

“These young women are understandably shook up by this incident,” said PC Craig McCabe. “I would like to reassure people that we have stepped up patrols in the area and are determined to find this man.

“If you were in the area and saw someone matching the offender’s description, please get in contact with us. Similarly if you know who this man may be, please come forward.”

The man is said to have made a suggestive comment and then exposed himself. The girls ran off. The white male was wearing a cream oversized bubble coat and wearing loose fitting blue jeans which appeared to be too big for him.
