A leak in Longridge has led to areas of Preston and Clitheroe being without water.

In a statement online, United Utilities said: “For health and safety reasons our team of engineers are having to put traffic management in place for repairs to continue. This is being done to enable our engineers to work safely. Unfortunately this means we may take a little longer to fix the burst water pipe than we expected. Water is being moved into the pipes to ensure that all properties have water whilst we are continuing to work on the fault. We’re sorry for the continued disruption to your water supply and we’ll try and get things back to normal as soon as we can.”
