Wardens have been employed to monitor the ground and anyone not adhering to the rules could find them slapped with a £120 parking fine.

In a recent patient newsletter by NM Health Innovation Ltd, a spokesperson said: “Parking on the curbs is strictly forbidden and it is an offence to block the path around the surgery, includes the paths along the school fence, around the back of the surgery and the side of the Hub.

“Fines of up to £120 have been implemented and wardens are attending to monitor the situation on a daily basis, so please take extra care when parking.”

They added that as they no longer own the former Medicare Surgery on Croston Road, Lostock Hall, patients attending appointments at The Village Surgery should no longer use the old Medicare car park.
