Overhaul at popular restaurant

The Farmer’s Arms in Wham Lane, Whitestake, has been closed for the past two weeks while remodelling work has been getting underway.
Formerly a Crown Carvery, it is set to reopen to guests on Friday, March 3 as a Stonehouse Pizza and Carvery, following a “significant investment” by owners Mitchells & Butlers.
Ten new jobs have been created as part of the overhaul.

“The restaurant is being given a fantastic new look and a menu that will have something for everyone.
“When you eat with us you’ll be able to put on the plate exactly what you want, creating your meal, your choice, your way.
“We’re a real part of the local community and are looking to support local charities, projects and host a variety of events and activities that everyone can enjoy.

“When you pop in to savour a good meal, or spend quality time with family and friends, be sure to ask us about what’s coming up.”
To celebrate the reopening, the Farmer’s Arms will be holding a used book sale on the morning of Saturday, March 4 as part of World Book Day, with all donations and proceeds going to charity.
That evening guests are invited to dance the night away to the music of local band Stonecutter, who will open their set from 9.30pm.
