One person needed oxygen therapy after breathing in smoke in a Lancaster house blaze.

Two fire engines from Lancaster attended the house in Ashton Drive at 8.53pm on Saturday.

Two firefighters used breathing apparatus and one hose to extinguishwhat was described as a small fire on the second floor of the home.

One casualty needed first aid and oxygen after breathing in smoke.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
