The site is owned and operated by Lancashire County Council and is a regular destination for Travellers passing through South Ribble.

Hide AdThe authority visited the group and served them with enforcement proceedings soon after their arrival yesterday, giving them 24 hours notice to vacate the site.
But the Council's swift and assertive action still came too late for some staff working at the site, who were 'disgusted' to find an occupant of one of the caravans defecating in full view of their office windows.
In pictures taken from the office, a man can be seen pulling his trousers down and defecating on a patch of grass next to a caravan.
A council spokesman said: "We are aware of this situation and working to address the issue as quickly as possible."
